Ending Before It Began

Harry Potter, Pre-Series, Riddle

Fifty years before, at daybreak on a fine summer’s morning, when the Riddle House had still been well kept and impressive, a maid had entered the drawing room to find all three Riddles dead.

The maid had run screaming down the hill into the village and roused as many people as she could. “Lying there with their eyes wide open! Cold as ice! Still in their dinner things!” Rowling, J.K. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (p. 1). Pottermore Publishing. Kindle Edition.

In one world the wizarding world was still reeling from the war, but in another… In another, the moment the grandson set off the first AK on the family, an alarm went off in the ministry and aurors and hit wizards popped off thinking it was Grindelwald’s forces attacking, found Jr just finishes his attack, and killed him. Taking no chances on someone so depraved as that one, no matter how young he seemed.

Mussed up the scene with the muggles and left with the body of the young one to make their report.
Seems a mistake might have been made in the Chambers mess after all if he had been depraved enough for this. Should open that as well.

They left the body with DoM to look for anything unusual and went on their way. Work and reports waited for no man after all.
