Welcoming The Reading

Harry mentally scoffed at the setting when they finally arrived in the classroom for the first Divination’s class. He plastered on his best Dudley stupid face and acted as he would in class. All the while snickering and agreeing with Hermione about the “Predictions” the “Seer” was making and that most of the rest of the class was eating up. And blew the “Seer’s” mind when he thanked her for the thought that he would die a horrible death right from the beginning. All with an eager face.
That was, before he pulled a large marble called, in parlance, a cleary, out of his pocket and played with it in the sun streaming through the window she had left open. Light bouncing off it and creating prisms of rainbow light everywhere, in that now silent class.

He held it in the light so the prism fell upon her fake gypsy scarfed face, a trance-like voice coming from him as he explains what he saw of her past, present, and future. The past and present from a Gringotts bank background check he had ordered done on every member of the staff. The future from extrapolation and the reading of her face and body language.

And had everyone sitting in mute wonder and the drunkard of a “Seer” reaching for her sherry in her desk for a large shaky drink. Before dismissing everyone.
She left him completely alone in class after that, and there were no longer any death predictions made to or of his classmates from her. Her one try at being mysterious again and faking the gypsy act, had him reaching, again, into his pocket, and she dismissed the classes for the day after that.

Harry just gave a knowing smile as though he had “seen” exactly how this would end for her as he picked up his things from the floor around the table the trio sat at.
It was the talk of the school when the hospital demanded to see her for an exam of fitness and she ended up on the same floor as Lockhart.
Sherry bottles everywhere in the rooms that were beside the classroom.
Harry knew a drunkard when he saw and smelled one. He did grow up in the muggle house Dumbledore put him in after all.
