Episode: S01e03: Sea Dog

Tony was listening to the recent put downs from their most recent probie on the team dig at him over not wanting to go to yet another harassment seminar. Gibbs’ call from dispatch stopping their being called in for that particular meeting with the probie calling shotgun seat and Tony just called that he had the truck as he wasn’t driving with her mouth going right then.

Arriving at the beach where the dead body of the naval commander known as Sea Dog by the kids he oversaw when he was in port. The local cop had overstepped and both Gibbs and Ducky were in fine form letting him know it, as Kate was photographing the body and Tony was calling in the tech bunnies to process both this scene and probably the other scene down the beach for the DEA as well. All the while he was photographing the boat the commander had used before being thrown overboard after being shot in a sea fight overnight, then got beached. Listening in as Gibbs told the probie she didn’t have to listen to his orders anymore and stripped him of his power of command of the mouthy probie who had delusions of her abilities.
He just logged in the discussion to be noted for later discussion between him and director Morrow after the case was over. Maybe take the time off he was due since Gibbs had been running him ragged and let Gibbs play with his latest playmate in bed.
Why not. That was what everyone else thought, and now he was betting on it as well. Red head or no, she had the attitude he liked.

Tony obliquely signed her up for the next sexual harassment seminar personally and noted to himself to have Balboa co-sign it along with Pacci since they too had to hear her comments. Then while Gibbs and Ducky were going over the body and Gibbs had the probie illegally doing witness statements by herself so they wouldn’t hold up in court (not his circus, not his monkey right now) he called into legal to get a warrant for the security camera feeds for the area marinas to see just who were out and about last night and into this morning. Then he planned to trace the ownership of those boats to see who had judicial problems and go on from there.

A matter that was made all that much easier when the DEA told Gibbs that the gang in the area was under watch, so he narrowed it down to just the two rival gangs and came out with the boat that was busy last night and most of the day before according to the dock cameras. Pulling up the face from the dock cameras that was on the international wanted list as a terrorist who had taken over the boat, and a man who worked for the local power company.

Just as Fornell came calling, then he was walked out under arrest for the restraining order Fornelli had against him because of his actions in trying to kill Tony during the case involving Air Force One, and his testosterone filled need to go against Gibbs.

By breaking the restraining order against him from being in the same building as Tony, Fornell was arrested and put into holding while Morrow reamed his boss out for sending the man over to gloat over trying to take over the case.
Meanwhile, Tony talked Gibbs into getting the local base’s soldiers out to have a “war game” near the three areas where the power grid could be taken out. Thus, taking the terrorist out for good.

And all in time for the second session of the harassment seminar Tony had signed the probie up for.
Life was good as he finished up his part of the paperwork, and ONLY his part with a post-it note that since he was no longer considered SFAC for Gibbs then Gibbs could do the SFAC paperwork on top of the paperwork he usually sluffed onto the 2iC of his. Added the note from HR that he was taking his allowed paid time off of two months with no phones or internet thank you very much.
