Murder of Crows
Scott’s POV:
School had been boring. And if it hadn’t been for the fact that he had been able to be with his love, Allison, he would have skipped it entirely. They had nothing to teach him. Just the same old, same old boring things over and over again.
He had been walking through the Preserve with his love, Allison, when he noticed a pair of crows flying overhead and a nest nearby.
From there, he promised his love a baby crow all of her own to raise as hers.
He felt the look she gave him acknowledged his love back and he started up the tree. The parent crows tried to stop him, but he persevered for his lady love.
He reached the nest and inside were three babies. He grabbed one and one of the birds swooped down on him to attack.
He lost his grasp on the tree and fell. Tree limbs breaking his fall all the way down to the ground, but the baby had been crushed in his grasp. It was dead.
His lady love consoled him as he tossed the dead bird away and they headed off. The deeds are forgotten by them, but not by the parents.
Overhead the skies darkened as storms moved in. A large thunderstorm that was going to hit their area from out of nowhere, with lightning strikes taking out the town’s power. And with nothing to do, Scott headed to bed, ignoring the beats against his window as the wind and rain.
That is, until the window wall caved in and a giant Crow flew in. It’s claws puncturing his chest to stop his screams as it left with him out the window wall.
Flying off from the child’s human nest to follow its love and join with the rest of the Murder of Crows.
