Alexander L. Harris, also known as Xander, had found it interesting that the First never used Jesse against him when they fought her. Further investigation using those who worked for Deadboy, showed Jess was now down in the depths of Hell paying off the debts incurred by his body’s possessor. And all on the words of tPtB. The ones that hated him and wished to punish him for daring to go against them.

The Slayers and Giles, plus Willow were already planning their next move without him as he “was just human”. As such, he grabbed the money Deadboy handed out to supply each of them and got his own supplies that no one knew about, including getting his favorite axe blessed by as many priests as possible.

The authorities were still checking out the remains of his old town and had it blocked off as much as they could, but he knew all the back ways in and was soon at the hole where the battle had been. Easily walking down the hole, where others hadn’t been able to get in, he put his bloody hand on the new doorway to open it at the blood of the Paladin.

He knew just where his brother was in the Hell Realm he was in and he wasn’t leaving until he had freed his blood brother. His axe alight with its blessings and literally singing of heaven’s power and driving those who had come to test him away.
Both it and he knew it was going to taste the blood and body of those who had dared to take his brother soon, as his leather clad body walked on, his white axe singing Ride of the Valkyries loud as they traveled on.
The shadow of Odin fell behind him as he walked.

And the demons trembled in fear.
