The Paladin of old, known above in the world, as Slayer’s Knight, Angel’s Foe, and White Knight, was the bloody sun in the endless he traveled. Ghosts of those who had killed against the Commandments beside him in their soldiers’ uniforms from all nations. Weapons from times now and of other times.
The Paladin of the Slayers – plural – marched on those in Hell with his new followers to save the innocent placed there. His blood brother to the demonic beings their destruction and the freedom of that Hell Dimension. All at the hands and arms and discipline of soldiers sent there as punishment for fighting for their governments and countries.

The Dark One pressed to the end, tried to use his brother against him, with orders to further torture him in front of the White Knight to the regret of the torturers as they fell to his singing axe. Their bodies going up in the flames of the blessings on the weapon of the old fashion Paladin.
The Dark One following and the Realm cleansed, the ghostly warriors and soldiers following Xander above as he carried his brother to one of the Holy Realms to heal. Turning with his Army of now Holy Warriors to take on the Powers that Be who would do evil on the innocent because they were angry at another.

Hitting first the Infernal’s then the Powers, the middlemen who dared played chess with lives were put to the walls and taken out, freeing those who had come with him to go onto their next lives, and Xander to retreat back to the world of Slayers and Witches. Oh my.

Giles, Buff, and Willow never figured out why he seemed to be so centered now that he had returned from the retreat he had gone on, or why Angel and the Devon Coven did their best not to piss him off.
Angel just happily gave over half of the money earned in interest in the business he was in to get everyone the hell away from him. Especially Harris and that damned axe of his.
He had personally used his contacts to buy the old boarding school in Cleveland near the new Hellmouth and turn the titles over to Harris for the housing for the new slayers.

No matter what, the Slayers, who took after Buffy and Willow in their thoughts on the only human, Xander, treated them calmly and with patience until it was time to save them. Then the Paladin returned.

And demons fled, while his axe sang of Valkyries.
