Dawn in the lab as Abby all dressed in her (shudder) usual and going eeeeeewwwwww Broodie Angel gear! While getting her own download, including the latest forensic stuff Gibbs team and Ducky sent her way (including the nasal spray)
Xan gets a tired Tony with a timeout in the bathroom from Kate for his download. And finds he’s integrated soldier boy and Primal. To go along with it.
Faith finds herself in Kate with the same Slayer strengths but somehow feels the deficit against killing humans is gone as demons don’t freely roam here. And is getting the same download at her desk. Quietly doing the same as Dawn unknowingly and going eeewwww over clothing choices.
While Giles is reining in Ripper over Mother Mallard as he attempts to escape after getting his own download and realizing what this day was.
Getting into his new body’s gun safe to get the snub-nose revolver and waist holster to put on.

The old crew from the First that were still in the states at this time, were relaxing in their time off from patrolling as the oldest of the youngsters were now out doing the patrols in the city they were all at and the others were all watching tv in the other room.

They were all reminiscing of those now gone either physically with their names now on the memorial wall, or spiritually as they went on sabbatical from the constant attacks they all now faced, like the other founder of the group who wasn’t with them now.

Suddenly everything and everyone froze as the Wish Demon Lord D’Hoffryn appeared with an evil grin and told the group they had been wished to have a place away from there.

Abby’s Dawn had been the second to arrive, with the first being way ‘Drew over in Norfolk, and by the time she was done with the nose spray and was locking it up in the hazardous evidence bins and logging it in properly, she had found the hair nets and lab coat to properly wear. Taken off the jewelry and placed in the office where both the evidence and they were safe from each other. Cleaned and sanitized the lab counters and cleaned up where the rest of the evidence was to the lab standards she now knew and knew Abby scoffed at. And called over to lab 2 to come and take the other cases she had to do as she needed to clean down her lab to standards before a lab review showed up to consign them to lab hell.

It was only after that, that she even thought of getting into the next in the batch of evidence in the case Gibbs’ team had before them as she had the stereo in the corner going quietly so she could hear interlopers and had the nerve to lock down her lab as was protocol. If they wanted in, they could push the buzzer and announce themselves at the door.

Giles in his upper crust Mallard form, was the next to arrive and was traveling to the yard while having gotten a hold of the corporal who had taken the call from the Israeli Embassy about the body. He told the ID10T in no uncertain terms that ANY FOREIGN EMBASSY knows THEY ARE TO GO THROUGH THE STATE DEPARTMENT.AND THEN STATE CALLS THEM! Not the Embassy itself, so treat the incoming vehicle as you would an enemy of insurgents at the gate who were the first to come and over run the base like the ones that RECENTLY TOOK OUT THE PLANE THAT TOOK OUT THE PENTAGON! Ya daft idiot. Were they so lax after 9/11 that they no longer followed protocol?!
In the background he could hear the sounds of the whole base going into lockdown. And then shots fired at what he presumed was the car bringing in the invader.
A quick pick up from the fallen phone to tell Ducky/Giles to use the side entrance and then when he had logged in properly, they had three bodies for him to do. One in the back that had tried to hide as a dead body and now really was. The female driver and her passenger. He told them to call in Gibbs team as they had the clearance to investigate the mess and hung up. Nodding to himself at a job well done.

Both Faith as Kate and Xander as Tony arrived next after the phone call to tell them to come in early. Both snapping to it as each of them got their own downloads. Xander got the boost of having Soldier boy and his Primal integrated in with him now. And Faith felt she was still the Slayer only with the order to not kill humans gone now as the demon killers weren’t in this dimension, but the human ones were.
Faith shuddered at her body’s choice of church clothes she wore every day and chose the jeans and button-up shirt with white t-shirt underneath and sneakers instead. Her badge hanging off her belt and checking her weapon she grimaced at the lack of attention it had been given. Swearing that when she had the chance the thing was going through a clean and maintenance. Getting down to her car, which was of course a white, inbred, breakdown, the mechanic’s special vehicle and cursed at her idiocy. And headed in as fast as the Giles vehicle could chug along.
While Xan skipped the – urg – suit and – gimme a break – a tie for a scene investigator whose tie could get into the evidence? Choosing instead, some nice loose jeans and nice work shirt and boots. All of which could be easily cleaned or thrown away if they never got clean again from a scene.

Both of them, and everyone else coming into work at that time, were going through the side entrance instead. Logging in, then grabbing what they needed to meet Gibbs and working on the scene of the attempted invasion. Morrow upstairs in his office screaming at the Embassy for its attempt to invade them while getting the run around and comments of disavowing knowing what or who was there.

The press was there in their vans in their ever-loving glory with their camera reporters talking in front of cameras with the trio working in the background. And Ducky/Giles getting the fresh bodies ready to get the flock out of there so they could move the van out of the way into the garage for the team to take apart.
Giles, Faith, and Xan recognize each other even though they, each now wore another’s bodies. And nodding to each other.
Meanwhile Gibbs was trying to figure out what the hell was wrong with the three of them. Duck wasn’t telling tales and his two siblings weren’t at each other’s throats. All just calmly working the scene like the pro’s he knew they were. It was creeping him out enough he was going to start looking for pods somewhere around them.

Tony had snapped pictures of each of the faces close up and sent the pictures to his contacts with no comments. Called in the plates to his contacts in the MV and waited as they ran them. Coming up stolen from an old car that had been abandoned not far from where they were. Kate, meanwhile, fingerprinted them there at the scene with Ducky’s permission to have the labs run them to further try to find out who they were.

Between the two, they soon had the names of all three of the attempted invaders. The driver and the “body” in the back were half siblings of the new deputy director of the Israeli Spy Agency, Mossad. Which Israel and Mossad claimed had gone rogue after it was released to the rabid press and went international within seconds after that. The third was a well-known insurgent and American killer leading credence to the words that they had gone rogue.
The new deputy director was ordered to step down from his post and as a member of Mossad for not mentioning to his boss or the Prime Minister that his children had gone over to the other side.

‘Drew had shown up not long after the mess had been cleaned up and Tony/Xan immediately put his friend on the internet to find where the rest of the invaders people were in DC or area. Something a little magical help hacking through the Israeli systems and particularly deputy director Dav’id’s old systems had them nailed plus every spy he had managed to place in the country as sleeper agents over the years he had spent working for Mossad. Three of the names were Agents Shepard and Vance of that agency who were immediately picked up as traitors. And the assistant to the current SecNav, Davenport, who was also picked up.
With that neither Morrow, nor Gibbs – who was still looking for the pods – had any problems adding the new probie to the team.

A team that worked well with the pod Ducky and pod Abby went onto solve cases and continued to do so in a way that convicted every single one they had a living perp for.
All thanks to a vindictive D’Hoffryn. And a wish he claimed was made to get them there.
