NCIS, Second Season

Once Tony realized just how far his partner was willing to go to get even about the picture he had found of her, he just destroyed his copy and the copy he had put on the system. He felt it wasn’t worth it. Then went on with the case the team was working on. All the while, listening to her snarking about his manhood for daring to have a real picture she had posed for in her college days. As though she had never had a youthful fall on Spring Break.

Then came the picture purporting to be him in a lover’s clench with another man on his computer with her smug look at him from across their desks.
He just sighed and told her he had already, long since, destroyed the picture he had of her as he HAD liked her before this.
Meanwhile he sent the copy to his law firm with the details of why it was in the email. He further sent that he wanted a complete suit against his former partner for attempted murder of a federal agent by proxy with her actions, and to find out through her after her arrest, who had done up the murder picture. And sent that on as Kate justified herself and looked proud of himself.

Tony just ignored her as he sent the labeled as fake image to IT and ordered them to trace where it had come from as it was obviously a doctored image of him, that was intended to terrorize him into being blackmailed to do the blackmailers bidding. And as the perp was telling him from her desk across from him that she intended to send the doctored image to every agent in the agency, Probationary Agent Todd was obviously one of the blackmailers. Their job was to keep her from doing as she wished and to trace where it came from. As she and her conspirators were committing federal crimes with their actions.

All the while Kate’s voice was getting louder as her victim was obviously ignoring her gloating. Going so far as to go to his desk to slam her hands on it to get his attention so she could finish gloating at him.
Security had been notified of what was going on by IT and had been monitoring the floor, so when she got up to go over to him, they moved in to arrest her for attacking a federal agent with murder in mind. Confining her on the orders of IT and taking her down to be processed into the brig. Ric Balboa had been alerted as the next in line for a case that was on the floor so he could go down to interrogate the soon to be former agent as to find her conspirator.

Tony, in the meantime, got a message from his law firm that the paperwork to sue his former partner was even then being written up as well as the suit against the agency for giving her so much room as to think she could away with what she did. Basically, making the Workplace a Hazardous Place to work in.

Kate caved quickly as she had no backbone when put to interrogation herself and named Abby as the one who did the picture on company time and company computers. Allowing the lawsuit to further add that to the suit against them.
When questioned, Abby told Ric, she thought she was doing the right thing due to how Kate stated what was needed.

That, however, didn’t stop her from being convicted for the crimes she committed. Nor did it stop either of them from being stripped of their credentials and spending time in prison for what they had conspired to do.

To quote Albert Spear, who had worked closely with Hitler during his reign of terror while Spear was in prison serving time for the crimes he had committed: “It’s hard to know the Devil, when his hand is on your shoulder.”
