Urban Magic – Hung Out to Dry 10

Urban Magic – Hung Out to Dry
Part 10

As part of his punishment for his ego in thinking he could get away with continuing a high-speed chase no matter the damage it caused, Gibbs was forced to do the PR tour of the Virginia and West Virginian schools as a recruiter for the agency and play nice with late teenagers. Along with a monitor to keep him under control and/or write him up for every tantrum he threw. Each loss of control in front of the teens and he was forced to cough up 10,000 dollars in fines. Something Morrow knew would hit Gibbs where he would feel it, as his exes counted every penny he made and took him to court if there was any change.

Kate was turned over to the Family Crimes Unit which worked on the floor below them to give her a reality check on her calling out unfairness to every male she was around whenever they ordered her to do something she didn’t like.
The female SSA’s first words to her were keep her attitude to herself as they worked with the worst victims and THEY didn’t need it. As such, she was forced to play secretary to the large team until she had proven herself. The fact that most everyone on the team was female kept her from using her favorite refrain when she didn’t like something.

Tony was sent to liaison with the BAU under the new leadership of Gideon with his cousin having requested it now that he had been called back out of retirement. The current job was a killer that targeted military personnel’s families while they served overseas. The team needed someone who was used to working within the confines of military families and the rules that they worked under. Something that, with his help, they were able to catch the killer. Though while his team was separated due to Gibbs being off, Tony was asked to stay on as the liaison.

Something that when he wasn’t actively aiding on a military case, he was working on the cold cases thrown at him by the Cold Case crew out of Norfolk or being called in to give an idea or two to another team on a case.
In their spare time, he, his cousin, Rossi, and Skinner, would go for long walks through the woods of the tri-state area and just talk. Sometimes helping Rossi with a passage or two on his current book, letting Skinner blow off steam about his troublesome teams – not just Mulder and Scully, or talk about a current class Tony was taking for his continuing education. With both Rossi and Skinner trying to get Tony to go for another degree now that he had his computer degree.

Even after Gibbs finally worked through Morrow’s anger at what he did and was able to come back to lead the team again, it was under strict monitoring of a new Agent in Command (AIC) looking over everything he was doing. Including the hours and number of cases he forced his team to do in a month. Something which Gibbs threw a hissy over until he was forced back on the PR patrol this time in Maryland and Boston. After that, he gave in ungracefully.
So much so, that the family of Fairies that were under the control of Tony’s Godmother, the younger ones that is, got together a placed a charm that caused everyone who was having any type of bad day to give Gibbs a hug in the hopes he would make it better.

For some reason, Tony got a lot of work as a liaison and on cold cases through till the New Year, though Gibbs did end up on most of the federal intranet feeds being hugging bombed and his close ups of the faces he made each time.
