Part One of Pictish Man

The Silent One

His son, who looked so much like Claudia now, was hurt. Beaten. Bloody. And scared. He tried to pass things off as being done by the rival team after the game, but Noah was the Sheriff and had contacts of his own. Contacts he had taken over after Mayor Talia Hale’s nephew, the old sheriff, had passed away in the fire that took her too.

He knew exactly who had taken his son and why. And just where they were all hiding at. He even heard, through the underground, that Gerrard and Derek Hale were ignoring exactly what happened in the warehouse. And who was responsible for it.
He took his precious boy over to the county hospital instead of the local one because the local one was infiltrated by his new enemies. Called his contact in Ito’s pack to put guards around his drugged son as he slept his healing sleep. And went hunting.

Oh, he knew he was no Stallone or Rambo, but he had been a Ranger who served in wartime at the front. He had seen things at the front and during the “War on Drugs” in Central America that had him in the know before his wife, a Gajos, ever said anything. Which was why he had been voted in every election season as sheriff as those in the know wanted one of their own in office to watch over them. The only reason the jackass, Jackson got away with his dismissal was it had happened so fast, but now he was going to eat it via his own benefactors. And that was because every time a true threat to the community came from or for the supernatural, he was to be the one to take care of it.
Gerrard and the politics around him and Jackson were the only ones that had stopped him in the first place. Especially when Jackson Jr had taken out his station’s people, the Gerrard had the nerve to attack the station right afterwards.

Noah was wearing his black utilities and boots when he brought in his son to the hospital. He carefully waited until his precious son was safe.
He had already put out the BOLO and APB on the men and Gerrard for the attack on the station and the murder of the deputies within it. The stations outside cameras recorded them all as they opened fire on the building. And which he released out to the police in the country as well as the fact that Gerrard owned part of Argent Arms. As such he and his men were to be considered armed and dangerous with military weapons.
He added a county warrant from a judge Ito had gotten him in with. The warrant was for the search and seizure of the house the Argent’s had been living in while staying in Beacon Hills. This was faxed over to the BH police department as the sheriff’s department had been gutted by Gerrard. Beacon County Police under Mercy Grant also took up arms to serve the warrant and all of them and their SWAT team were now on their way there as well.

The feds from the nearest city were also on their way as Argent Arms was a major Arms company. Both Ito and Noah had nixed McCall joining as his son was involved with Gerrard’s granddaughter, therefore he was also involved so couldn’t be impartial. An arrest warrant had also gone out for the Argent’s and Scot as he was involved with the family. Plus, Noah’s informants told him that Scotty was the reason his son had been kidnapped by Gerrard in the first place.

With security now around his son, he armed up from his trunk, and the last bit was an old Gajos Protection necklace his wife’s father had given him when he went off to war.
It took him twenty minutes to hit the BH borders, and he had the squawk box going as he listened to the raids going on in his town. Ito’s own people who were in the department took down Scotty and knocked his wolf ass out. Cuffing him with suppression cuffs to keep him in his human form for now and through his questioning at the county seat.

The Argent family and adjacent members were all arrested after a firefight, with the police now going through the house and calling for forensics as they had found a torture dungeon with fresh blood. Instruments found matched the wounds found on the Stilinski’s kid.
His hands went white as he drove over to where Deaton lived and by the veterinary place. He got out of his car long before he reached either place. Activated the necklace and felt it go and then saw the aura of the warning protections Deaton had up.
Protections he just slid through now with the charms in place just like he had done to the drug cartels in Central America.
A light touch on the front door to open it up to him, as he snuck through to the bedroom.
A light cut through the wards and he was at the bed where Deaton was only now stirring.
Silencer on just like old times, a shot through the third eye, and Deaton was gone. The blackness in the room and house dissipated into the ether with his death. Noah left with the blackness.

A quick call to a contact and he never even got in the car as he slipped into the nearby woods. Following the magical marks, he found the sick and dying Gerrard in a camp waiting for someone. Gerrard was huddled over the fire trying to keep warm and using Deaton’s wards to keep him safe. Noah, went up behind him quietly, grabbed his head, and slit his throat with his combat knife covered in wolfsbane. Then flat out cut the head off after bleeding him out like a carcass. He definitely wasn’t going to take any chances on this one.
Smothered the flames on the fire and whistled into the dark. Soon other predators came out to take care of the body.
Each nodded to the other, the other citizens were now safe.
Noah slipped into the dark and headed to his car to change and clean up before heading back to the hospital where he would be given an alibi.

The danger to his and the town was gone for now, and to get Jackson back, his own son had also been picked up by Ito’s squad to be questioned as to why he was on camera in the station murdering the sheriff’s deputies just before the Argent’s opened up fire on the outside of the station.
Let the last threat to his family try to get out of this, same with Scotty and his being the one reason his son was kidnapped in the first place. Or the reason the HP style Statute of Secrecy had almost been broken by him.

He drove back to the highway to get to the hospital, the box still going strong about what was being found there. He looked at the ocean in the distance and saw it lightening with the morning and knew things were good now.
