Consequences of a Wall

Buck had only wanted to ask a few questions about the list of names he found in his captain’s book as it looked like a countdown to an end he didn’t think looked good. What did he get for his troubles, a slam into the wall and an arm against him to hold him in place while getting yelled at by the out-of-control man. And yet no one dared to do anything about it or even say anything about it. Everyone around him just looked like this was all normal for the man. Boy and they said Gerrard was an ass and an abuser.
Buck looked up at the loft’s camera filming everything, then casually pinched the nerve around the man’s – he refused to see him as his captain – web between the thumb and forefinger of the arm against him. Which forced him to yell in pain and back away. Buck then pulled out his phone and called out the number he was dialing so everyone would know he was calling dispatch to get the cops there that were NOT Athena as she would be to be compromised about who was involved. Oh, and please pull the last half hour of recording from the station’s cameras.

Bobby paled as he held his hand when Buck said that, especially when he told dispatch to have the recordings ready for the detectives to watch. He also asked that another station’s paramedics come to assess him as those there had proven to be also compromised to the abuser. Something that would be shown on the recordings. Something else that would be shown if they wanted to pull the last several shifts was that the xo of the shift loved to sexually harass him. Again, the station’s shift was compromised against him as everyone will be shown to either laugh about the harassment jokes or not say a word against them. In fact, if the detectives look further, they will not have one complaint that would have been allowed to be made against the xo. Therefore, the detective might look into the fact that the xo just might be blackmailing someone in command or legal.

Han sat down as his blood pressure bottomed out, meanwhile, over the line was the announcement that the station was offline for the foreseeable future as the calls went out for another station to head to a plane down. Bobby received a call right then telling him to sit his ass down and wait for the Chief to get there as his man’s call was all over dispatch and now the department.

Bobby ended up fired for laying a hand on a subordinate in anger. Chim was fired for his sexual harassment as the department knew from viewing the cameras that they had a huge lawsuit on their hands if they didn’t. Everyone else was forced to take many seminars on proper conduct and how to tell abuse…. NO MATTER THE VICTIM.
And Buck was transferred out of the toxic place he had been in to another station to finish his probationary time with the department before moving back to FEMA where his past wasn’t going to be used against him by other assholes in a department that never actually learned from Gerrard or Bobby.
