And Todd? She was special. She was to work as a law officer trainee under Sheriff Carter and under the training eyes of his Deputy, Lupo, who had been an Army Ranger. Both stationed now at a DoD Research facility turned company town called Eureka. Carter had been appointed as the town sheriff by the DoD from his position as a US Marshal. Both positions and Lupo should get the point across – hopefully – that law officers just aren’t a dime a dozen, and they all do work no fed would dare touch with a ten light year pole.

Alison Blake, the co-head of the think tank and R&D center of Eureka gently placed a file in front of the new sheriff in town. An old US Marshal, named Jack Carter. On the front of the file, in red letters, was the name, Caitlin Todd
Underneath it was the letters NCIS.
He looked at her with a raised brow.
“We’ve been asked…. More specifically, Jo has been asked, to rehab this one as she has a problem with law officer in general from what we’ve been told. Thinks she’s superior for being a fed and at one time being a Secret Service member.”
Ali got a smirk on her face, “Oh and she’s a man hater. And according to sources unnamed has been putting woman’s lib back 25 years or more with her attitude.”

Carter snorted as he pictured Jo getting her mitts on this one, “The cameras up in the office and around town of course.”
She nodded.
“What’s the leading bet on how long Jo takes to force her into submitting to her?”
Alison put out her hand in a gimmee position, “Two minutes after they meet.”
He slapped a twenty in her palm, then walked out while reading her file and moaning at the idiot they had coming.

Kate arrived to this small town in nowhereville Oregon. Her orders were to go to stay at the B&B while she was there, a place that was on the outskirts of this…. Townsville.
No valet to get her luggage, and there was a lot as she had been told she would be there for six months, in outer Mongolia.
Cussing and swearing as the note on the door said to come right in as the house was ready for her. Of course there wasn’t anyone there to take her luggage in.
“Hey!” A stay dog/maybe wolf was peeing on her luggage! How dare he. And it was definitely as he. He just pulled teeth at her and calmly walked off, now her expensive luggage had dog piss on it. This was all Tony’s fault. If he would just obey her……
She saw something out of the corner of her eye…. A large blue bubble floating over the town? Followed by a red one?
Must be some sort of celebration in this no Starbuck town. That’s why there’s no one there to take her luggage in for her.

She sighed again as she started dragging everything in. Mentally taking note that she’d have to find a dry cleaner to clean the clothes that now had dog piss smell on them.
Finally crashing at 1 am only to be woken rudely by another woman in a brown cop’s uniform who literally dragged her out of bed yelling that she was late for work. Who the fuck did she think she was? Gibbs?

Frog marching her into the bathroom she forced her on the toilet to take a piss while shoving an actual uniform on her. Not at her but shoving it on her body by manhandling her.
Kate went to fight back…. Next thing she knew, she was waking up and in a police station on a cot. In an open cell and being yelled at that they had a case, so she had to get MOVING!!!!!

Honestly a traffic accident why couldn’t…. Her face seemed to give her away as the female she still hadn’t been given the name of was in her face worse that Gibbs ever did. Reaming her out that while she was daydreaming, they had another case at the school and to write her After-Action Report on the way to it. On her knee pad clipboard that they all used.
What? Huh?

How cute, little Einstein school. Unfortunately, she found that she knew the words were English, but she still had no idea what anyone said. Worse they all looked at her like her IQ was at the bottom of the well when they passed them out. And the female boss in uniform that she STILL didn’t know the name of, was nodding in understanding.
Turned out one of the FIRST GRADERS built a BOMB in science class and it had gone off accidentally…. AGAIN? And her parents WERE PROUD OF THIS?

She knew she had opened her mouth to explain things, but the next thing she knew she was in a pretty white room with padding on the walls and it was so calm and peaceful. Maybe she’d stay there for a while.
