Bombing

Brad had been after Tony for ages to move to a warmer climate and the end came after the whole container thing where his newest “partner” shot him while they were stuck on the docks in a locked container and no one took it seriously. He forced the issue through his own contacts and debts owed to him to get medical help and then get transferred out to the LA FBI office as he refused to work for an organization that work illegally bring in a foreign agent as an investigator with full access to military top secrets. He had given his report publicly to the Washington Post on the actions of his old agency before moving to LA and then watched the fallout from far away.
Fornelli just cussed him out for leaving him to work alone with Gibbs while paying out the debt he owed him.

He had worked his way back up to major crimes in the LA area when the call came in that there was a Serial Bombing going on with three package bombs so far that ATF has been working on. The first was a federal judge that had recently retired. The second was a member of the city’s DA. And the third was an average citizen that the ATF hadn’t been able to link to the other two, so it had landed on his desk as the local expert on terrorists. Having worked with Gibbs and his varied cases.

He knew he was on the clock and immediately put in for a warrant for any door cameras near any of the victims as he read through the neighbor statements gotten by the agents that had worked the case.
He had his computer working on a background cross check on the third vic to find if/when he had been involved in the justice system where violent crime was the case in any manner. Using his contact through Morrow at Homeland to get the links he needs to go federal as well as military.

Letting that run in the background he had his warrants for the three neighbors across the street from the recent vic for their documented door cameras and headed out to get the copies he needed to see just what they had picked up about the delivery of the bomb package. Also to do his own talks with the owners of the cameras while he went over the recordings.

Two hours later he had the view of the unsub as the fibbies called perps. Young. Male. 18-21. Caucasian. Light Weight. Brown and brown. Last name is Costas. First Fredrick. Goes by Freddy. Son of an arsonist who was placed in prison who recently died of cancer caused by his choice of not getting the asbestos out of his buildings when he was supposed to. First vic was the judge of the arsonist’s trial. Second was the prosecutor. Third was the jury chairman. The two investigators outside those detectives who were important to the case had been notified. SWAT and the bomb squad were on the way to Costas’ mother’s house where he lived.
Fire Department had been notified as one of the non-detective investigators was a captain of a station house. That house was shut down, and another bomb squad was on the way to check the building and equipment out. A BOLO and Warrant was out for F. Costas’ arrest with a warning he may be armed and dangerous.

Tony was currently tracing the traces found in the bomb chemicals at each site to where they were bought with Morrow’s Cyber Department’s help as Costas was considered a homegrown terrorist.
Traces for each chemical in the amounts they were NOT to be sold by were traced and Morrow now had agents raiding those online companies that were in the US and Customs Agents raiding the areas where new shipments from overseas had just come in.

By the time Costas went down by suicide by cop, techs were raiding the illegal company’s computers to see just who the companies had sold explosive chemicals too. With more raids planned in the future.
