While everyone else had been busy, Jack was playing politics as he had learned at the hands of the Trust led by the VP in his old world. Who in turn led to Khan. Both of whom were readers of Machiavelli. Personally, he preferred the Borgas, but he read Machiavelli as well. And many of the other political philosophers with Danny when he moved to DC.
Speaking of, he was keeping an eye and ear of the rabid dog named McCarthy, even was a bright boy and had his security detail do a complete background check on him and give him a copy of it. Then them to keep an eye out on him. Personally, he was waiting for the man to go to far in his accusations like the girls in Salem did and then, like the Salem governor shut the lid on him.

By the time spring rolled around and the peace talks broke down over the dumb shit of the shape of the table and where the delegates sat, the two high-altitude planes were ready with Sheppard and Sam getting into position to fly them to Tokyo for their bombing run. McKay had outdone himself with several of the ZPM bombs ready and waiting to be dropped on the capitals of China and North Korea. As well as the government houses in both and the military sites to destroy their fighting ability.

The Peace Talks had broken down in early April and that evening they flew out from Groom Lake to California’s Air Force base to refuel and then to Hawaii to refuel and rest. From there to the Air Force base in Japan to rest and prepare.
Fittingly on the nation’s Tax Day, operation Little John 1 and 2, the bombing of the center of the capitals and the government houses began. John took North Korea, while Sam took China. Each hit at precisely 12pm GMT and obliterating the governments of those nations and most of their capitals with no radiation of mushroom clouds just a deep sonic boom that was felt all the way through Europe and to Moscow. Leaving nothing behind but craters of impact as deep as Crater Lake NM.

At 1205pm GMT, Danny handed his second envelope over to the head of the US delegation ordering them to allow him to take command of the US part of the Peace Talks. He called the number given to them so that they could capitulate to China. When answered he only told them “Unconditional Surrender or we continue to bomb every six hours.” And hung up.

The second bombs hit the industrial complexes in total and whipped them out. An hour later they both capitulated and Moscow was on the red phone to the President telling him that if it wasn’t stopped, they would retaliate.
The next bombs took out Moscow as a whole and also took out their military nerve center at midnight Moscow time. A three hour turn around, and the next bombs hit each nuclear bomb site.
What was left of the government surrendered to the civil war that immediately began with the fall of the KGB. Warsaw States also fell into Civil War to overthrow their overlords. US forces in Europe were given the Green Light to engage if the wars came to them. Otherwise help those escaping the communist nations as much as they could.

Jack insisted the Attorney General’s Office investigate McCarthy for illegally trying US Citizens outside of the Judicial Process. Going Against Said Citizens’ Constitutional Rights to Due Process and the Rights to Face Their Accuser, The Right to Trial Before a Jury, the Right NOT to Have Their Possessions Taken Away from Them Without Trial or Evidence. In Short, He and his followers acted in treasonous actions in Overriding the Constitution almost in full. Same warning goes over to Hoover as he, too, is investigated by the Office of the Inspector General. His own home is raided as well as the Office of the FBI in Virginia. Not by his people or those he has under his blackmail thumbs, but by the National Guard backed OIG who serves to investigate federal agencies. His little Empire torn down around him, as he too, is brought to trial for his many crimes. Cases long since tried are reopened for his malfeasance as he had a hate on for those tried. Most of them colored as he and his agents were all whites and many members recruited from the Southern States.

This, at a time, when the Civil Rights Movement was just starting to get off the ground and arrests were made by white police and agents of colored because they dared to stand up for their rights.

National Guardsmen were called out during the times of trouble in those early years to keep the peace between the KKK agents of chaos and bigotry and those fighting nonviolently for their rights to freedom. Including getting outside agencies to ensure all those who could actually legally vote were signed up by get out the vote rallies Jack and the others went too and later were voted back into office with.

The Civil Wars in China and Russia ended with the overthrow of the communist governments. The UN and Allied Nations going in to help them rebuild and welcome them into the rest of the world governments.

Now that the short Cold War was over, it was time to rebuild everything, and with that, the two scientists in the group were put to work making new designs for infrastructure like new ZPM power plants for clean energy, cleaning the waterways, and ZPM vehicles.
John’s comment was that he wanted his Puddle Jumpers back so if they were working on vehicles they might as well work on the space industry since they were working against the Russian’s anymore.

Yup, they had lots and lots of plans and time to do them right this time. Better get on it.
