Chapter Three:

Hondo POV:
Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson took his old friend’s words to heart, and not only wore his badge, but his uniform and weapon. And called up his partner, Jim Street, to join him at Bast’s (short for Bastard) place. And he was glad that he did when he saw Sgt. Grant-Nash’s police car out front, in Bast’s guest parking. And Bast’s spot was taken up with another vehicle that he immediately called a tow on. As well as more back-up in case of further problems.
Hondo had cleared things for a prowler/home invasion check with his supervisor before coming by explaining it was a stalker of a first responder who had contacted him.

Pulling the condo’s super out and getting his written permission for the tow. As well as a phone call to Bast that reaffirmed he gave no one permission to be in his place at that time. And no police, besides him, had gotten a hold of him about a problem that needed his immediate official attention. Therefore, he gave verbal permission to Sgt. Harrelson and his backup to do whatever was needed to secure the safety of the residence and his neighbors. And that with a stalker involved with cops onsite it might get violent.

Once the loft was secured and the four inside were under arrest (with much yelling and name calling), Hondo and Street came in. Hondo had multiple officers on scene, and all of them, he ensured, had their uniform cameras going and recording. As well as his and Jim’s. He walked up to the blatantly off-duty Officer Grant-Nash, who was bitching the loudest, and waited for her to shut up. Which shut up the others, and the pressure began to build as the two stared at each other.

Athena opened up her mouth again, only to shut it when Hondo began to loudly state her Miranda Rights to her. With the other officers with him doing the same to the others.
“I know my god damned rights!” She yelled out. But he just paused, then continued, before finishing with, “Do you, at this time acknowledge that you understand your rights as given to you while under camera?”
“Yes! Damn it! Now get me out of these cuffs! Do you know who I am?! I’ll have your badge for this!”
“Is that a threat Sgt?”
“NO! It’s a promise!”
“So, by your comments, you are waving your rights to an attorney at this time?”
Athena was spitting mad at this time but wasn’t stupid by any means and promptly shut her mouth.

Both Hondo and Street nodded to her, then they stood back so they could see all four of the perps. Athena and her husband, and Bast’s sister with her…. Whatever, were kneeling on the floor in cuffs. With the loft looking like they had all made themselves quite at home. And while he knew exactly where his old friend’s teammate was, he still had to officially ask. “Are you here with the permission of the owner? And if so, I’d like his written permission for this, or his phone number to contact him and see if this is true.”
Athena rattled off the number with the added statement that they were just waiting for him to get home to finish a conversation that had started earlier.
With a comment from the one they identified as Han that he was probably out getting laid with some prostitute knowing the man-whore.

“So, you not only do not have permission to be here, which is criminal trespass, but he doesn’t even know you’re here as he is out for the night? Am I right Sgt. Grant-Nash? Need I remind you that you already have two strikes against you in the last two years?”
She blushed and kept her head down.
“The first strike was about going against policy and transporting an attempted murderess with her victim in the ambulance. Tell me how that went Sgt.? The teen leaned over, in the ambulance and broke the newborn’s neck, killing her. Didn’t she? And was found guilty of first-degree murder as an adult, wasn’t she?
“And the second, wasn’t that for harassing parents of students who went to your daughter’s school? A write-up that almost costs you your job.
“And now this? This will be strike three Sergeant Grant-Nash. Especially since we all,” He swept his arm to encompass the police officers around them, “have, and had, our cameras on when you issued that threat against a fellow officer who was doing his duty.”
He moved back and out of the way, “take them in and make sure they’re each sent through processing for criminal trespass and Officer Grant-Nash is put in solitary as an officer till her hearing on charges of criminal trespass and threats to and officer.”
